Terms & Conditions

  1. Bookings

These terms constitute the entire agreement and understanding between you and Italian Days SRL. 
Your booking once accepted and confirmed in writing to you represents a contract between all persons named on the booking form and Italian Days SRL.
By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on that booking. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with your Tour booking, notifying the Tour Operator or your travel agent if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.
By booking on behalf of another person or persons, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and the Tour Operator will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.

  1. Price and Payment

Prices are in Euro valid as published in the confirmed offer. Changes in transportation costs, including the cost of fuel, duties, taxes or fees chargeable for services and exchange rates, mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have booked. Italian Days SRL reserves the right to charge for any increase if there is a change within 30 days of your departure. We will endeavour to notify you of any change in advance. You may at that time cancel your booking and you will be entitled to a full refund if Italian Days is notified at least 24 hours before departure.

  1. Cancellation

In order not to incur penalties for cancellations of excursion bookings, these must be communicated to the Tour Operator at least 2 days before the scheduled excursion date. However, please refer to the individual cancellation policies of the tours offered. No refund will be possible for those cancellations with less than 1 days prior to the booked tour or no show.

  1. Alterations

All amendments/changes must be notified to us in writing by the person who made the original booking. We reserve the right to make alterations to your booking if necessary. If alteration is necessary we will endeavour to make sure that changes are minor and we will advise you at the earliest possible date.

If a major change becomes necessary we will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible. A major change is one that involves a material change to the advertised tour, the time of departure or return by more than twelve hours, or offering accommodation with a lower official classification than advertised. When a major change occurs, provided it does not arise from circumstances amounting to force majeure (see below), you will have the choice of either accepting the change of arrangements or cancelling your booking. We will not pay you compensation if we have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way because of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. These can include, for example, war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, epidemics and pandemics, unavoidable technical problems with transport.

  1. Complaints

In the unlikely event that you have experienced any problems, you should in the first instance report the matter to a representative of Italian Days SRL and should be reported within 15 days of travel date. If the matter is not then satisfactorily resolved please address any complaints to Italian DAys SRL, Galleria Ugo Bassi 1, 40121 Bologna (BO), Italy.

  1. Other Travelling Conditions

Some of the tours may involve third parties whose terms and conditions apply. Some of the tours are also unescorted and while every effort has been made to provide the customer with a safe and enjoyable tour, Italian Days SRL cannot accept responsibility for events beyond our control.

  1. Travel Insurance

Personal insurance is not included. We advise that all customers should take out appropriate travel insurance.

  1. Pick-Up Points and Times

Please note that date of departure and collection timings are subject to change or cancellation should unforeseen circumstances occur. Should you need to change your pick-up point this must be notified to us prior to this. You must not assume that you can go to another collection point. Please be on time as we cannot be responsible or liable for any loss or expense suffered.
We ask you kindly to be in time like confirmation, because we can’t wait more than 10 minutes for clients, to not disturb the other clients. No refund will be given to those clients who do not show up at the meeting point at the set time or to clients who lose contacts with Italian Days or who do complete the Tour.

Collection point Please wait by the concierge desk at your designated hotel unless otherwise stated. If you are unsure of where this is, it is your responsibility to find out. We are happy to provide advice however please call in advance (preferably the evening before a tour is due to depart).

  1. General Conditions

Withdrawal
We may at our discretion require a person to withdraw from any tour if we deem their conduct to be offensive or to cause annoyance to other passengers and we shall have no further liability for the carriage of such passengers. Passengers are advised that they need to return to a tour at the time stated by the guide. A maximum period of ten minutes will be allowed for late running passengers before the tour moves on.

Customers of Italian Days (and obviously, all the subjects he operates for) shall observe the rules of prudence and diligence, information given by the organiser, as well as the regulations, administrative or legislative provisions relative to the tour package. Customers shall be held responsible for all the damages the organiser and/or intermediary shall suffer due to the non-observance of the above mentioned obligations. Moreover, the Customer shall inform the organizer, on booking, about any special request, which may be the subject of specific agreements, regarding the tour modalities in general as long as their implementation is possible. The Customer shall always inform the Agency about any special need or conditions of the participants in the excursion (pregnancy, food intolerances, disability, etc…) and explicitly specify the request of relative customised services.

Fitness to Travel
We strive to give all our customers full care and attention, but we do need to know at the time of booking if there are any special needs or requirements. It is particularly important that we are advised of any disabilities and also if you intend to bring any specialised equipment such as a wheelchair with you. If you have suffered from a serious medical condition recently, then you should consult with your Doctor about your fitness to travel.

Dress tips
There is no particular dress code required, however we strongly recommend travellers to wear comfortable clothes, walking shoes, sunhat in warm weather and always check the forecasts the day before. Places visited along the walking tours are safe, however, we recommend travellers to not carry visible blinking jewels. 

Weather
Tours run under what can be considered normal weather conditions (rain, shine, snow). Please always refer to the individual indications of the tours offered, when mentioned otherwise. However, Italian Days SRL reserves the right to cancel a tour anytime for safety reasons (eg. rain floods, heavy storms).

Food & Drinks Info and Policy
In some tours, it is possible that food, drinks or tastings given are to be consumed standing, however such tastings do not usually last for a long time. Please note legal age to drink alcohol in Italy is 18 years old. It’s on traveller’s responsibility to handle and control their drinking capacity.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is generally not allowed indoor and surely not in cars/vans at your disposal for transfer. We kindly ask smokers to smoke only in open air making sure not to bother the rest of the group (for example avoiding it while eating or if delaying the tour schedule)

Locations
Please be aware that toilets and seats may not be available at every single stop. In certain locations, toilets may not be very comfortable or perfectly clean and toilet paper may be missing.

Passports/Visas
Where a passport or visa is required it is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party have valid passports and visas for your trip.

Accident or Loss
We accept no liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employee’s negligence, in which case our liability is limited to a maximum of the tour cost.
By booking with Italian Days SRL, customers agree to participate in a tour at their own risk. Therefore, you declare to release Italian Days SRL, its staff and its guides, from any responsibility for any accidents, thefts, loss of personal items, illness or death, which occurred during the tour or arose following participation in it. Italian Days SRL is not responsible for the quality of the food and drinks offered during the itinerary. Food and drink suppliers are solely responsible for the law relating to the preparation, storage and sale of food products. They are therefore required to observe all quality standards related to the food industry according to Italian legislation. It is not duty or responsibility of Italian Days SRL to supervise compliance with legal standards related to the handling, storage and sale of food. By booking with Italian Days SRL, you declare to relieve Italian Days SRL, its staff and its guides from any liability related to diseases, allergic reactions and / or deaths presumably caused by the ingestion of food and drinks. During the booking phase, Italian Days SRL requires all participants to provide information related to allergies, food intolerances or other specific dietary indications, for the sole purpose of being able to offer alternative tastings. It is in the interest of the customer himself to provide timely and detailed information on his nutritional restrictions.

Third parties 
A person who is not a party to these terms shall not have any rights under or in connection with them.

Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Italian law and the parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Bologna IT.
